How do I use the Asia Miles Mixed Cabin Calculator?

What is mixed cabin calculation?

Mixed cabin calculation allows you to select different cabin classes for different segments in the same itinerary. For example, Economy for the first segment and Business for the second segment. This provides more flexibility in using miles and optimizing mileage value. For mixed cabin itineraries, you may search online for detailed guides on optimal redemption strategies. After finding available flights, please contact Asia Miles customer service to complete your ticket issuance.

What are the connection rules?

Domestic round-trips cannot connect internationally: If the origin and final destination are in the same country/region, the connecting airport must also be within that country/region; otherwise the itinerary will be rejected. Connection time limit: Connections on Cathay Pacific cannot exceed 24 hours, otherwise they may be treated as two separate itineraries.

What are the mileage calculation standards?

If both flight segments are operated by Cathay Pacific, the mileage will be calculated according to 'Cathay Only'. If either segment is operated by a Oneworld partner airline, the mileage will be calculated according to 'OW partner'. For flights involving other partner airlines (such as Air China), 'Airline Partners' charts will apply (specific rules may vary). The tool is updated in real time based on the 2025 Asia Miles Award Chart and incorporates special country/region zoning algorithms to help you accurately plan your mileage redemptions and ticket bookings.
